Lumberjack Divers Prepare for NCAA Zone E Championships in Flagstaff

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 5, 2026) - The Northern Arizona women's diving team will compete in the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships, held at the Wall Aquatic Center in Flagstaff from March 9-11.

The Lumberjacks are coming off a championship win at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships. NAU secured its 13th consecutive conference championship title after a dominant 12-year run in the Western Athletic Conference before transitioning to the MPSF this year.

NAU swept the podium in the 1-meter event, with Mackenna Stocker winning the title with a score of 297.20. Margaret Wesche finished second with 292.25, while Grace Wesche placed third with 283.65.

Margaret Wesche secured another silver medal in the 3-meter event with a score of 300.45, while Stocker took bronze with 279.45.

In the platform event, Margaret Wesche went three-for-three on podium finishes, earning bronze with a score of 242.40. Grace Wesche finished close behind in fourth place with 238.30.

Preliminary rounds will begin each day at 11:30 a.m. MST, followed by finals at 2:55 p.m. MST on the first two days, and 1:55 p.m. MST on the final day. For the men's events, preliminaries will also begin at 11:30 a.m. MST, with finals scheduled for 1:30 p.m. MST on the opening day and 1:40 p.m. MST on the following two days.

Monday will feature the women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter events. Tuesday will include the women's 3-meter and men's platform events, while Wednesday will conclude with the women's platform and men's 1-meter events.

Divers will have the opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, scheduled for March 18-21 at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta. The Georgia Institute of Technology will serve as the host.
