WACO, Texas (May 11, 2026) - The Northern Arizona women's golf team completed the first round of the NCAA Waco Regional, posting a score of 296 (+16) to place 11th.
Held at Ridgewood Country Club, SMU currently leads the tournament as the only team under par, sitting at 3-under. The Mustangs are three strokes ahead of Texas A&M and Oregon, who are tied at even par. On the individual front, there is a three-way tie for the top spot at 4-under.
Lydia Lin leads the way for the Lumberjacks, currently tied for 12th with a 71 (+1). Starting on hole 10, the freshman finished her first nine holes at 2-over par. She recorded birdies on holes 2, 7 and 9 for a 1-under back nine. Her par-3 average is 3.25 (+1), which is tied for 36th. Her par-4 average is 4.08 (+1), tied for 14th, and she is tied for third on the par-5s, playing them at 4.50 (-1).
Amy Hodgkins follows with a 72 (+2) and is tied for 21st. She opened the round with a birdie on the par-5 10th hole. The junior recorded 14 pars on the day. She is even par on the par-3s, tied for 13th in the field, +3 on the par-4s and also tied for third in par-5 scoring at 1-under.
Frankie Dezis shot a 76 (+6) and is tied for 50th after carding 12 pars on the day. She is averaging 3.50 (+2) on the par-3s, is tied with Hodgkins at +3 on the par-4s and is averaging 5.50 (+1) on the par-5s.
Lizzie Neale rounds out the lineup with a 77 (+7) and is tied for 54th. Her lone birdie came on the 400-yard, par-4 14th hole. She is tied with Lin on the par-3s, is +6 on the par-4s and even par on the par-5s.
NAU is tied for eighth in par-3 scoring, averaging 3.25 (+4), and is averaging 4.27 (+13) on the par-4s. The Lumberjacks are tied for third in par-5 scoring with a 4.88 average (-1).
The 'Jacks will begin round two at 7 a.m. MST, paired with TCU and Prairie View A&M. They will again start on hole 10. Live scoring for the event can be found via Scoreboard Clippd, and live streaming is available here.
