FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (July 2, 2026) – The Northern Arizona men's basketball team completed its 2026-27 roster with the additions of eight transfers in an announcement by head coach
Shane Burcar on Thursday.
The eight transfers bring NAU's total count to 11 newcomers for the upcoming season. The 11 new Lumberjacks will join four returners, including returning starters
Ryan Abelman,
Chris Komin and
Brennan Peterson, to round out the roster. NAU previously announced
three incoming freshmen to this year's signing class.
"After the conclusion of last season, we clearly identified our needs, including size in the post and overall athleticism across our roster," Burcar said. "We identified a transfer class that we believe addresses those needs. This is a group of young men who embody the culture of our program and are eager to help Northern Arizona Basketball compete for a Big Sky Championship this season."
This season's transfer class includes three directly from the Division I level and four total who have Division I experience. The class also includes a Division II transfer and four from the Junior College ranks.
NAU's transfer class is below, listed in alphabetical order.
