FARMINGTON, Utah (September 3, 2026) - The Big Sky Conference office has released the results of its 2026-27 Women's Golf Preseason Coaches' Polls.
For the 2026-27 season the Big Sky will feature 11 teams on the women's side with the addition of Southern Utah and Utah Tech. These polls were voted on by the league's head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own teams.
Northern Arizona was selected to repeat as women's champions, after winning the Big Sky Tournament last year with a team score of 847 (-5), five strokes ahead of Northern Colorado.
Lizzie Neale tied for the individual title at 5-under, shooting 65 (-6) in the final round, but was edged by Montana State's Nora Seidl on the first playoff hole. She was also named Big Sky Conference Player of the Year in 2025.
Senior Frankie Dezis tied for third with a final score of 2-under. This marks her best career finish at the conference tournament and earned her a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Dezis was also named to the Big Sky All-Conference First Team.
Head Coach Brad Bedortha was named Big Sky Coach of the Year following the title win.
Northern Arizona will start its 2026 slate at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. from Sept. 14-15.
