Jesselyn Bries was the first female freshman athlete to cross the finish line at the 2018 Big Sky Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Oct. 27. Bries' time of 16:52.0 earned her a seventh-place finish and as a result she was named the Women's Freshman of the Year. Bries was the lead runner for a NAU women's cross country team that placed second in the conference.
