Tyler Day set a new American collegiate record in the 5K at the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic in Allston, Mass. last Friday, Jan. 24. He clocked a time of 13:16.95 that topped the previous record of 13:18.12 by Oregon alum Galen Rupp. In addition to the American collegiate record, Day also now owns the NAU and Big Sky Conference records as well. He was named Big Sky Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week for his performance.
