Christina Torrente won the Western Athletic Conference diver of the week honor for her performance in the dual-meet against Idaho and Seattle on Saturday, Nov. 4. The diver of the week honor marks the first of her season and fifth of her career.
In the dual-meet Torrente picked up two first-place finishes in the 1-meter and the 3-meter. Not only did Torrente win both of the events but she won by huge margins, with second place being atleast 15 points behind her in both events. In the 3-meter Torrente set a personal best with a score of 342.25. The score moved Torrente up the NAU record boards, as she now holds the second highest score in the history of the program.
Torrente and the Lumberjacks will be back in action on Friday, Nov. 16 for the Lumberjack Invite where both the swimming and diving teams will be competing at home for the first time this season.
