FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — After three matches on the road to start the season, the Northern Arizona men's tennis team will compete against Arizona and Nebraska in Tucson, Saturday, Feb. 17 and Sunday, Feb. 18, respectively.
Northern Arizona is 1-2 overall with a victory over New Mexico in their season opener.
The 'Jacks will continue on their 12-match road stretch before hosting their home opener.
Both matches will be held at Arizona's LaNelle Robson Tennis Center in Tucson, Ariz. The first match will be against the Arizona Wildcats at 9 a.m. and the following against the Nebraska Cornhuskers at 10 a.m.

- Last season the Lumberjacks finished on top as the 2017 Big Sky Regular Season champions for the first time in 35 years after recording a 15-8 overall record and 10-1 conference mark.

Currently 6-4 overall and coming off of two losses at Drake and Iowa, the Wildcats will host Northern Arizona and Nebraska this weekend. Arizona competed against the Lumberjacks this time last season defeating them 5-2 at home. The last time they competed was in the Arizona Invitational in September where the 'Jacks recorded six doubles wins and eight singles wins. The eight-man roster is led by head coach Clancy Shields who is in his second season with the Wildcats.
Nebraska

The Huskers are coming off of six straight wins to start their season 6-0. Nebraska will travel for the first time of the season to Tucson, Ariz. to compete against Arizona and Northern Arizona this weekend. The Lumberjacks and Huskers have met before, the last time in 1998 where the 'Jacks fell 7-0. The nine-man roster is led by head coach Kerry McDermott who is the second-longest tenured coach in the Big Ten with 36 years under his belt. Last season, the Huskers finished 5-19 overall and fell in the Big Ten Championship tournament.

Northern Arizona will start Big Sky Conference action against Portland State on the road Friday, Feb. 23 before taking on Oregon the following day. Both matches are set for 10 a.m.
