Lumberjacks Win Both Doubles Brackets at the Wildcat Invite

TUCSON, Ariz. (September 13, 2026) - The NAU men's tennis team won both of the doubles brackets at the Wildcat Invite, taking down pairs from San Diego State, UNLV, Nevada, New Mexico, New Mexico State and Arizona.

Kai Mills and Felix Neumeister had to battle to get through all three of their matches. The duo won their first match against a UNLV doubles team that they beat, 8-5. In the second round, Mills and Neumeister won by a single break, 8-6. 

The final against a team from New Mexico State came down to the wire, but Mills and Neumeister stayed calm and won in a tiebreak by the slimmest of margins, 8-7(5).

Vincent Vohl and Jakub Jedrzejczak steamrolled the way through their doubles bracket. They started with a first round win over a pair from New Mexico 8-4. Vohl and Jedrzejczak dominated their next opponents 8-3. 

The final was bound to be a hard test for Vohl and Jedrzejczak, but the Lumberjacks went into that final match and took care of business with a statement 8-4 win. 

Jedrzejczak also found success in singles making it to the final of the monsoon bracket. He won his first two matches in straight sets to take on Glib Sekachov of Arizona. The Lumberjack lost the first set, but bounced back in the second set. The third set was won by the Wildcat as Jedrzejczak ran out of energy.

The Lumberjacks' next tournament is on Sept. 19 for the ITA All-Americans where Jedrzejczak will be in action in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
