FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — The Northern Arizona men's tennis team will travel to Oregon to compete against the Portland State Vikings on Friday, Feb. 23 and the Oregon Ducks on Saturday, Feb. 24.
The Lumberjacks are currently 1-4 on the season and will compete in their first conference matchup this weekend with the Vikings before taking on one of their toughest opponents in Oregon, previously ranked No. 24. Both matches will be held at 10 a.m.
Northern Arizona's lone win of the season came early against New Mexico where the 'Jacks defeated the Lobos 4-3. Following this weekend, there will be five more matches before the home opener against North Dakota.

- Last season the Lumberjacks finished on top as the 2017 Big Sky Regular Season champions for the first time in 35 years after recording a 15-8 overall record and 10-1 conference mark.

The Vikings will host the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks for the first time in two years. The last time these two teams matched up was last season when the 'Jacks shut out Portland State 7-0. Currently, the Vikings are 5-3 overall with wins over Puget Sound, Seattle, Linfield, Idaho State and Southern Utah. Portland State has competed in two conference matches already and will host two more this weekend against the 'Jacks first and then Northern Colorado. The seven-man roster is led by head coach Toby Krauel.

The Oregon Ducks are currently 6-2 overall and have yet to compete in conference. Overall, the Lumberjacks and Ducks have met seven times with Oregon picking up five wins. Oregon is coming off of a three-match winning streak and will host a double-header with Northern Arizona and Gonzaga this weekend. The nine-man roster is led by head coach Nils Schyllander who is a NAU alum.
Coming Up
Northern Arizona will continue on the road against LMU and UC Riverside Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4, respectively. The Lumberjacks will first compete against LMU at 10 a.m. before taking on UCR at 2 p.m. the following day.
