OGDEN, Utah — For the second time this season, the Northern Arizona men's tennis team fell to a Big Sky opponent in Weber State with a final score of 7-0.
The Wildcats swept the Lumberjacks in doubles picking up a 6-2 win at the No. 2 position over
Ruben Montano and
Felix Schumann and a 6-3 win at the No. 1 position over
Lucas Taylor and
Adi Zilberstein.
Weber State continued to dominate, winning on every court in singles in two sets.
NAU's Montano,
Chris Steele and Taylor fell to the Wildcats to put the score at 4-0. Weber State clinched the win and finished the match picking up wins on the remaining courts.
The Lumberjacks are now 7-10 overall and 5-2 in the Big Sky. Northern Arizona currently holds a fourth-place spot behind Idaho, Montana and Montana State, two of which they will host next week.
Northern Arizona will have less than a week until hosting Montana Friday, April 6 and Montana State Saturday, April 7. Both matches will be held in the Aquatic and Tennis Complex and are free for all who attend.
