NAU Men’s Tennis Take on Montana in Big Sky Semifinal

Lumberjacks to face Grizzlies at Phoenix Tennis Center

PHOENIX, Ariz. — The No. 2 Northern Arizona men's tennis team will face No. 3 Montana Grizzlies in the Big Sky Conference semifinals at the Phoenix Tennis Center on Friday, April 27 at 1:30 p.m.

The Big Sky Conference tournament began Thursday with the quarterfinals between No. 3 Montana vs. No. 6 Southern Utah and No. 4 Weber State vs. No. 5 Portland State.

Montana advanced and will compete against the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks after defeating Southern Utah in a close 4-3 victory.

No. 4 Weber State also advanced and will compete against No. 1 Idaho Friday afternoon. The winners of tomorrow's matchups will advance to the championship Saturday, April 28.

The last time the Lumberjacks and Grizzlies matched up, Northern Arizona defeated Montana 6-1 winning at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions in doubles and garnering wins from Tim Handel, Lucas Taylor, Ruben Montano, Sebastian Eguez and Chris Steele in singles.
