OGDEN, Utah. (March 1, 2019) – Less than a week removed from the 2019 Big Sky Indoor Track & Field Championships, the conference office has announced that Northern Arizona University's
Christopher Grant has been named the 2019 Big Sky Indoor Track & Field Freshman of the Year.
Grant, a sprinter from Jamaica, led all male freshmen in points at the indoor championships and scored 20 team points for the 'Jacks. Grant placed first in the 60m Dash (6.70) and in the 200m Dash (21.80). Grant's time in the 60m is tied for the fifth fastest in Big Sky history.
Grant was announced as the male recipient alongside female 2019 Big Sky Indoor Track & Field Freshman of the year Lucy Corbett from Montana State.
