FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 27, 2019) - Northern Arizona University's track & field program will be sending its student-athletes to three separate meets across the country this weekend. The 'Jacks will get some valuable national exposure at the Stanford Invitational, Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational meets.
The distance squad will be making its way to Palo Alto for the Stanford Invite. Throws, jumps and sprints/hurdles crews are headed to the Lone Star State for the Bobcat Invitational and Texas Relays.
NAU is coming off of its outdoor season opener the 2019 Baldy Castillo Invitational. Multiple student-athletes set new PR's in their events in Tempe and
Cameron Rayford led the way for the 'Jacks placing first in the men's triple jump.
STANFORD INVITATIONAL
The Stanford Invitational will be held on March 29th and 30th. Distance events will begin at 1:24 P.M. (MST) on Friday with the Women's 1500m Run.
Live results will be provided by Record Timing, LLC.
NAU is expected to send a stacked lineup on both the men's and women's sides to Stanford.
Maggie Carruth and
Delaney Rasmussen are slated to compete in the Women's 1500m Run;
Pipi Eitel will be the 'Jacks sole runner in the Women's 5000m Run and
Miranda Myers will represent the Blue and Gold in the Women's 10000m Run.
Kyle Havriliak will be NAU's lone runner in the men's 3000m Steeplechase. The Men's 5000m Run will feature Brodey Hastey,
Theo Quax,
Cade Burks,
Mitchell Small and
Jack Shea. The Men's 10000m Run will see
Tyler Day,
Blaise Ferro,
Peter Lomong,
Harvey Nelson and
Ryan Raff.
TEXAS RELAYS
Texas Relays will begin at 5 P.M. (MST) on Thursday, March 28th as the first event that will feature NAU with the Men's 400m Hurdles. The meet will continue until March 30th. The meet will feature 7,201 athletes across 950 teams that represents 37 total states and 23 countries

The Lumberjack men are sending a talented group of throwers, jumpers, sprinters and hurdlers to Austin.
Christopher Grant will be racing in the Men's 100m Dash and 4x100 Relay events. Grant will be joined by
Khalil Dorsey,
Tyren Wolfe and A.J. Hollis in the 4x100 Relay. Dorsey will also be making an appearance in the Men's 110m Hurdles event.
Carter Bracken will be participating in the hurdles as well in the 400m Hurdles event.
Cameron Rayford will be representing NAU in the Men's Triple Jump and Long Jump competitions. Rayford is coming off of a first-place performance in the triple jump at the 2019 Baldy Castillo Invitational.
Parker Joens is entered in the Men's Shot Put and Discus competitions.
The women's squad is sending
Jada Jackson,
Helena McLeod,
Miracle Onyemaobi and
Jasmine Malone to participate in the 4x100 Relay.
BOBCAT INVITATIONAL
The meet will open on March 28th and 29th at 6:30 A.M. (MST) with the Men's Decathlon followed by the Women's Heptathlon. Day one (March 28th) will conclude with the Men's and Women's Discus Throw beginning at 9 A.M. (MST). Day two (March 29th) field events will start at 11 A.M. (MST) with the Women's High Jump, Hammer Throw and Long Jump, and the track events are slated to begin at 2:40 P.M. (MST) with the Women's 100m Dash. The final day of the meet (March 30th) will have the Women's Javelin beginning at 7 A.M. (MST) and the Women's 4x100m Relay will start the track events at 12:30 p.m. (MST).

The Lumberjacks will be competing in more events at the Bobcat Invitational than at Texas Relays or the Stanford Invitational. The throws, jumps and sprints/hurdles teams will be sending a large group of Student-Athletes to San Marcos.
The throws crew will feature
Matilde Roe in both the Women's Shot Put and Discus events. Joens will see action in the Men's Discus and Shot Put competitions. He will be joined by teammates
Jake Arnold, William Beadury and
Brady Williams in the Discus. Arnold will be patricipating in the Shot Put event as well. The Men's Hammer Throw event will include Beaudry, Williams,
John Murphy, Kevin Cooney and
Jacob Kaufman.
Kaitlyn Wayne and
Jenna Figueroa are entered in the Women's Long and Triple Jump events at the Bobcat Invitational. McLeod will be joining the pair in the Long Jump. Men's jumps looks to have
Obang Odol compete in the Men's High Jump. Rayford will be jumping in the Men's Triple and Long Jump events. Dorsey will also be in the Long Jump.
Jackson, McLeod, Onyemaobi and Malone will all be running in the Women's 4x100m and 4x400m Relay's. They will each also be competing in the Women's 200m Dash. McLeod and Jackson are entered in the 100m Dash; while Onyemaobi and Malone will also get some extra experience in, racing in the 400m Dash.
NAU's men's sprints/hurdles team looks to have Grant, Dorsey, Wolfe and Hollis in the Men's 4x100m and 4x400m Relay events. Bracken is set to be NAU's sole hurdler in the Men's 400m Hurdles race. Bracken will join Grant, Dorsey and Wolfe in the Men's 200m Dash. Dorsey will also participate in the Men's 100m Hurdles. Wolfe will get to lace it up for two more events at the Invite in the Men's 100m and 400m Dashes; Grant will join him in the 100m and Hollis will join Wolfe in the 400m.
