BOBCAT INVITATIONAL RESULTS
SAN MARCOS, Texas (March 30, 2019) – Northern Arizona University's track & field program closed out a three-day weekend of competition at the final day of the 2019 Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
It was a quick day of competition as NAU's sprints/hurdles, jumps and throws disciplines participated in nine events throughout the day.
Sprints/Hurdles
Tyren Wolfe, Khalil Dorsey, Christopher Grant and AJ Hollis represented NAU in the 4x100 Relay; the quartet finished in 41.34 to earn a second-place finish. Dorsey would also compete in both the Men's 110m Hurdles race and the 200m Dash. In the 110m Hurdles Dorsey would come in fifth-place with a time of 14.46. The trio of Dorsey (21.74), Grant (21.76) and Carter Bracken (22.31) would each set a new PR in the Men's 200m Dash.
Both Jada Jackson and Helena McLeod would set new PR's in the Women's 200m Dash as well. Jackson's time of 24.41 was just above her previous PR of 24.43, which she set at last year's Baldy Castillo Invite. McLeod would end the race in 24.50, a big improvement over her previous personal best set at last year's NAU Tune Up meet.
Throws
Jake Arnold had a top-10 finish in the men's shot put. He hit a mark of 16.54m on his first attempt to earn an eighth-place spot on the individual leaderboard.
NAU will head back down south for the second time this outdoor season to Tempe for the Sun Angel Classic hosted by Arizona State University on April 5th and 6th.
