FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (April 18, 2019) – The Northern Arizona men's tennis team will be closing out their 2019 regular season with a match against the University of California Irvine on April 20 in Irvine Calif. NAU is entering this match on a 16 match winning streak that started on March 2 against Southern Utah. The team's current record is 19-6 on the season while being a perfect 10-0 in the Big Sky. The Lumberjacks perfect Big Sky record has led to the team capturing its second-ever regular season Big Sky Championship.

The 'Jacks top singles player is
Tim Handel who has a record of 20-1 on the season at the No. 1 position for the team. The 20 wins leads the team and the conference. Following the senior in wins is
Facundo Tumosa who has 15 wins on the season.
In doubles, the Lumberjacks top tandem is
Tom Fisher and
Chris Steele who have a record of 16-7 on the season mostly at the No. 2 position. Following the No. 2 pair was Handel and
Ruben Montano who have a record of 14-5 on the season. Northern Arizona's final duo of
Lucas Taylor and
Facundo Tumosa who have a record of 13-4 on the year.
Matchup
The University of California Irvine will be entering the weekend with a record of 13-6 while coming off a loss in its last match against UC Santa Barbara.
In singles, the Anteaters have had a mix of players compete at the No. 1 position. Sasha Krasnov is 4-5 at the No. 1 position, while Luis Lopez is 3-3 at the No. 1. UCI's player with the most wins is Krasnov, who currently holds a record of 14-10 on the season. The Anteater with the second most wins on the team is Aaron Bailey who holds a record of 13-10 on the season.
