FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (June 4, 2019) - Northern Arizona University's track & field program will be sending four male student-athletes to the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The four day meet will be held from June 5-8 in Austin, Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the University of Texas's campus.
Individual and relay event participants qualified for the national championships through preliminary events hosted May 23-25 in Florida and California. The top 48 individuals and top 24 relay teams first qualified for prelims. All three days of championships will be available to live stream on ESPN, ESPNU or ESPN3.
Tyler Day will be taking on the 10k which is slated for a 9:08 P.M. (CST) start on Wednesday, June 5th. The field of 24 student-athletes will feature some of the country's best collegiate long distance runners in a 25 lap race. This won't be Day's first dance in this event at this level, last year he placed fourth in the 10k at the 2018 championships in Eugene. The start list for the Men's 10k can be found

Luis Grijalva and true freshman
Brodey Hasty will all represent the Blue & Gold in the 5k, with a 9:25 P.M. (CST) start time. NAU qualified the most athletes in the 5k. This will be Beamish and Hasty's first trip to outdoor nationals, while Grijalva will be returning for the second time in his collegiate career after competing in the Men's 1500m Run in 2018.
