FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (January 23, 2020) – The Northern Arizona women's basketball team begins a stretch of four consecutive road games on Saturday at Portland State where the Lumberjacks will look to secure their sixth straight win at 3 p.m. MST. The Lumberjacks' road trip continues to Sacramento State Monday night at 8 p.m. MST.
Before the conference's weekend slate begins Thursday night, the Lumberjacks sit in third in the Big Sky standings at 5-2 in league play. NAU's current five-game winning streak has evened its overall record to 8-8.
The Lumberjacks last posted a six-game winning streak towards the end of the 2001-02 season when they won six consecutive games from Feb. 8-March 2, 2002. Junior

Nina Radford, ranks second overall in the conference in scoring (15.4) and first in scoring in conference play (19.7). Rasheed has scored in double-figures in seven consecutive games, equaling the longest streak of her career. The 'Jacks have five players in total from Oregon including senior

Jacey Bailey rank sixth and 11th respectively in the conference in scoring with averages of 13.9 points and 12.9 points.
In conference play, the Lumberjacks are second in scoring as a team with 80.4 points per game and in field goal percentage at .443. In its last three games, NAU is shooting 48.8 percent from the field.
Since winning four straight against Portland State during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons, NAU has dropped the last eight games to the Vikings. Last season, NAU fell 72-55 in Portland and 74-59 at home.
Portland State has won its last three games going into its Thursday night home game versus Sacramento State. The Vikings, the defending Big Sky tournament champions, are 11-7 overall and 5-3 in conference play.
NAU and Sacramento State will meet for the second time this season following the Lumberjacks' 114-107 double overtime win in the Walkup Skydome on Jan. 9. The victory was NAU's third straight over Sacramento State going back to last season.
The Hornets are coming off an 87-82 victory last Saturday at home versus Southern Utah heading into Thursday's game against Portland State. Sacramento State is is 4-12 overall and 2-5 in conference play.
