FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (January 28, 2020) – Northern Arizona men's tennis opens up its home schedule with a double header against Mesa Community College and Grand Canyon University this Thursday at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
Last weekend, the 'Jacks began their spring schedule against Arizona (1-6) and UC Riverside (5-2), taking a 1-1 record into this weeks' matches.
This is the season opener for MCC after playing an exhibition match against Ottawa University. For GCU, this will be their seventh match of the season, running with a 0-6 streak. Most recently, the Lopes played against Cal Poly (1-6), with David Weber winning their singles point.
After Thursday, the Lumberjacks travel to Arizona State University for 2 p.m. Saturday match against the Sun Devils. ASU won 4-0 over GCU, but fell to #8 TCU (2-5), #16 Tennessee (0-4), and #14 Oklahoma State (3-4), tallying a 1-3 record.
Before the 3 p.m. match against GCU, there will be free pizza for all fans.
