FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (January 6, 2020) – Northern Arizona junior placekicker
Luis Aguilar added yet another All-American honor to his already decorated list on Monday with the announcement of the 2019 Walter Camp FCS All-America Team. For Aguilar, the Walter Camp All-America distinction is his fifth since the end of the season.
Last month, Aguilar previously earned All-American honors from HERO Sports, The Associated Press, FCS ADA and STATS FCS. Aguilar is one of two Big Sky Conference players, along with Montana senior linebacker Dante Olson, to be named to all five All-America teams.
Aguilar, who was also honored as the 2019 Fred Mitchell Award recipient as the nation's top placekicker in the FCS, Division II, Division III, NAIA and NJCAA, is third in the FCS in field goal percentage (88.8) and field goals made per game (1.83) and ninth in scoring (9.8 points per game).
The Nogales, Ariz. product drilled the longest field goal in the FCS this season (57 yards) on his way to making 22-of-25 field goal attempts. He was also perfect on all 52 extra point attempts while leading the country with 61 kickoffs that resulted in touchbacks.
Aguilar was one of four players from the conference named to the Walter Camp FCS All-America Team. He was joined by Olson, Southern Utah senior center Zach Larsen and Portland State sophomore defensive back Anthony Adams.
