FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 12, 2020) – Annabel Davis signed her National Letter of Intent on Thursday, as she will be joining the Northern Arizona University women's tennis program for the 2021-22 season.
"We are excited to bring on the addition of Annabel Davis. I can't wait to see her own the court with her athleticism and bring the energy, even as a freshman who is new to college team sports," said NAU women's tennis assistant coach
Christa Gecheva.
Davis will arrive in Flagstaff from Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom, where she captained Queenswood School to a UK National Schools Championships in 2018.
Partnering with current Lumberjack
Mimi Bland, Davis won the 18&U girls doubles title at the Junior National Tennis Championships in 2018 as the two played as a part of the Hertfordshire Lawn Tennis County Association.
In addition to her national title, Davis reached the finals of an ITF tournament in Ireland this past season while also reaching the semifinals in a few other tournaments during her junior career.
Currently ranked at No. 1,419 in the ITF Junior Rankings, Davis has reached as high as No. 1,250 in the rankings back in January of this year. A top 15 junior player in her country, Davis also holds a UTR rating of 9.
