NAU Men’s Tennis Starts Big Sky Conference Play at Portland State

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 20, 2020) – Northern Arizona men's tennis is looking to turn its current road streak around as they head to Portland State for its first Big Sky Conference opponent of the season.

The Lumberjacks (4-5) started their six-game road swing last week at Louisiana for the Cajun Invite, competing against LA and Texas A&M – Corpus Christi. NAU faced losses both days, being shut out by Louisiana (0-4) only scoring one point against the Islanders (1-4)

The Vikings are currently 2-3 on the season, taking their wins over George Fox (5-2) and Lewis & Clark (7-0). PSU's Tommy Edwards has received his first Big Sky Athlete of the Week award for picking up two victories against Santa Clara on Feb. 2, taking down SCU's, then ranked 52nd, duo 6-4 on the doubles courts. He went on to win three sets in singles.

NAU is currently on a four-game winning streak over PSU, winning 7-0 in season and 4-0 at last year's Big Sky Conference Championship.
