Geordie Beamish is slated to compete at the 113th NYRR Millrose Games in New York City on Saturday. Beamish, the reigning NCAA indoor champion in the men's mile, will run in Millrose Games' final event – the NYRR Men's Wanamaker Mile – at approximately 3:50 p.m. MST.
The Millrose Games is the world's top annual international indoor track and field meet and will be held at the Armory Track & Field Center in New York City. This year's meet will feature 31 Olympians.

Beamish is one of three collegiate runners who were invited to compete in the Wanamaker Mile, the meet's featured event. Also joining Beamish in the decorated 13-runner field are Wisconsin's Olli Hoare (2018 NCAA outdoor 1500m champion) and Arizona's Carlos Villarreal.
Beamish has run the mile once this indoor season, posting a time of 4:07.15 at altitude at the Lumberjack Team Challenge last month. His altitude-converted time of 3:58.17@ is the sixth-fastest time in the country this season.
He won the NCAA indoor mile last season with a time of 4:07.69, which was just behind his personal-best time of 4:06.94 that he posted in the NCAA preliminaries.
Also competing at the Millrose Games on Saturday will be NAU signee, Nico Young in the men's 3000m run. Young, the nation's top 2020 cross country and distance recruit, committed to the Lumberjacks in December.
Young, who won the 2019 Nike Cross Nationals with the fastest time (14:52.3) in the 16-year history of the NXN, will attempt to break the American U20 indoor 3000m record of 7:56.31. If Young is successful, he would also break the national high school 3K record of 7:59.33 for the distance.
The men's 3000m run is slated to begin at 2:56 p.m. MST.
