FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (August 25, 2020) – Alison Conquest joined the Northern Arizona University women's soccer program as an assistant coach back in February of 2020.
As an assistant coach at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, Conquest saw the Jaguars enter into the 2017 NCAA tournament after winning the Horizon League Championships during their first year in the league. The team finished with a 14-6-3 mark and 6-2-1 league record, passing the top-seeded Milwaukee in the championship match.
IUPUI was elite defensively during Conquest's time in Indianapolis, registering a school record 10 shutouts in 2017 and 25 total shutouts in her three seasons. All total, she coached six all-league performers during her three seasons, including 2017 HL Goalkeeper of the Year Sophia Lipka and 2019 HL Newcomer of the Year Maya Lacognato. In just three years, she coached seven individuals who earned Horizon League All-Freshman Team honors, three of whom would later be all-league honorees. The Jaguars were equally impressive academically, qualifying for the United Soccer Coaches All-Academic Team honors in each of the three seasons.
Prior to IUPUI, Conquest spent five seasons at Indiana State. She helped the Sycamores to a 10-9 finish and a Missouri Valley Conference runner-up spot in 2013. That year was the first winning season in program history and the highest-ever conference finish in history. The season before, the Sycamores capped an 8-10-3 record, closing the season with a four-game unbeaten streak to earn a spot in the league tournament. From there, the fifth-seeded Sycamores upset No. 4 Northern Iowa and No. 1 Evansville to earn the program's second-ever appearance in the league championship game.
In 2016, she aided ISU to a seven-win season and a six-win mark in 2015 under then first-year head coach Julie Hanley. Conquest played four seasons at the University of Southern Indiana and was a two-time team captain for the Screaming Eagles. She was a four-year starter at center back, scoring four goals and tallying two assists in 71 career matches.
She earned her Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science from USI in May of 2010 before completing her Master's of Science in Kinesiology at IU in December of 2011.
Conquest holds her NSCAA Premier Diploma, NSCAA Goalkeeping I Diploma, NSCAA Youth Level II Diploma, USSF National D License and the USSF National Youth License.
