SAN DIEGO, Calif. (November 3, 2021) - For just the third time in NAU men's tennis history, the Lumberjacks are competing in the ITA National Fall Championships.
Facundo Tumosa and Eban Straker-Meads are heading to San Diego for tournament play that is set to begin tomorrow. The draw consists of the top 32 doubles teams in collegiate tennis. The tournament will take place beginning Nov. 4 and go through Nov. 7.
Straker-Meads and Tumosa were one of three alternate bids invited to the tournament this week. Tumosa and Straker-Meads will face Eliot Spizzirri and Siem Woldeab from the University of Texas. Their match will start at 2 p.m. MST. Spizzirri and Woldeab are heading into the tournament also as an alternate bid.
