FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 18, 2021) –
Northern Arizona men's tennis will make its way to No. 21 Arizona this Friday for a double header match at the Lanelle Robson Tennis Center in Tucson, Ariz.

The Wildcats, ranked No. 21 in the Oracle/ITA Division I Men's Tennis Rankings, are on a current five game winning streak, building onto their 7-1 record. Besting Grand Canyon (6-1, 7-0), Liberty (4-0), Florida Atlantic (7-0), No. 22 Pepperdine (5-2), and New Mexico State (7-0, 5-0).

Most recently, Arizona swept New Mexico State in its double header on Valentine's Day. The Aggies were unable to score more than four points in almost all games except for one singles match, where Arizona's Conner Olsen defeated NMSU's Petr Stavroskij 7-5 and 6-2.

Northern Arizona started their season off against Arizona State Feb. 7. Against the current No. 22 program in the country, the Lumberjacks were able to win on one singles court, recording a 6-1 loss against the Sun Devils. However, Chris Steele, the victor against ASU's Christian Lerby, recorded his first singles comeback win, going 1-6, 6-4, and 6-4.

The Lumberjacks were hoping to play against another highly ranked men's tennis program, Texas Tech. Unfortunately, the match against the Red Raiders that was scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20 was canceled due to the inclement weather in the south.
