Regionals Day 3

Day Three of West Regional Competition Short-Lived

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (May 28, 2021) - The Lumberjack men were only able to participate in two events today, as the track events were suspended due to inclement weather.

In the field, our men competed in the discus and the triple jump.

Senior Parker Joens opened today for the Lumberjacks, throwing 52.61 meters on his final attempt in the ring, and finishing the season at 36th in the west region.

Meanwhile, freshman Mitchell Effing warmed up for the men's triple jump inside the arena and ultimately placed 45th in the region with a mark of 14.57 meters.

Prior to the transition to track events, there was a weather delay due to rain and lightning that resulted in the postponement of the remaining night's events.

New event schedule to be posted soon; stay up to date with the Lumberjacks by following NAU Track & Field and Cross Country on Twitter and Instagram.
