Richmond, VA (January 25, 2022) - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) named Northern Arizona swimming and diving to their fall 2021 Scholar All-America team list for their outstanding efforts in the classroom.
The Lumberjacks earned a team cumulative 3.72 fall GPA, ranking fifth on the list of Division I programs, behind Canisius, Rice, St. Bonaventure, and Toledo.
NAU swimming and diving have nine athletes who recorded a 4.0, and 20 athletes who recorded a 3.5 and above out of its 33 athlete roster during the fall 2021 semester.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development. Â
"Coach Johns continues, year-in, year-out to do great things. These 33 women are some of the best ambassadors that Northern Arizona and the WAC could ask for," CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart said.
