Men’s Tennis Heading South to take on the Wildcats for a Double-Header

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 10, 2022) - Northern Arizona Men's Tennis is heading back on the road for a double-header matchup on Saturday, as they face the Arizona Wildcats.

The 'Jacks are coming off of a 2-1 weekend in Denver, bringing home wins against Omaha and Air Force, while falling to Denver. The team stands at 6-1 overall on the season.

Doubles pairing Eban Straker-Meads and Facundo Tumosa took down the ITA Nationally ranked #32 doubles team in Denver's Matt Summers and James Davis, giving the two their first loss of the Spring. Sophomore Maciej Ziomber went undefeated in singles play through the Colorado road trip.

The Wildcats sit at 8-2 on the season, with their losses coming while facing #23 Pepperdine and Texas A&M. The team is ranked #17 heading into the weekend, according to the ITA Top 25 Coaches Poll. Four of the teams athletes were also ranked in the ITA's Top 125 Singles players.

The 'Jacks and the Wildcats last saw each other in Tucson back in October, at the Wildcat Invite. Senior Daniel Dillon highlighted the invite with four straight wins in the singles gray draw. Tumosa and Straker-Meads will see the Wildcats for the first time this season, as they were at the ITA All-American Championships in October.

This weekends matches will be available to stream here, and live results will be uploaded here.
