FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (January 17, 2023) – Adding to the 11 players announced in December, the Northern Arizona football program officially added 11 more as transfers from four-year universities.
Lumberjacks head coach
Chris Ball and the rest of Northern Arizona's coaching staff brought in players from Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, Tennessee and Virginia. Of the 11 new additions to the 2023 signing class, seven are on the offensive side of the ball with the other four on the defense. The Lumberjacks added four offensive linemen, two quarterbacks and a running back in addition to a trio of defensive backs and one linebacker.
Five of the newcomers come from the FBS, with additions from Cal, East Carolina, San Jose State, UCLA and Western Kentucky. Five also come from FCS programs, Howard, Montana, a pair from Northern Colorado and Tennessee State, with one arriving from Division-II Missouri Western.
The complete 2022-23 signing class for Northern Arizona will be announced on Feb. 1, 2023, the first day of the regular signing period. Played in 18 games in four seasons for the Griffons, starting four in 2021... Redshirted in 2019 and played in two games during the 2020 season that did not count against his eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic... A two-time All-State and three-time All-Conference selection during his high school career at Quincy Notre Dame High School in Quincy, Ill.

Completed 29-of-43 passes for 317 yards and three touchdowns as a redshirt freshman for the Griz during the 2022 season... Also rushed for 190 yards and one touchdown on 40 carries... Redshirted in his first season at Montana after arriving from Liberty High School in Las Vegas... Won the 2019 4A Nevada State Championship, Liberty's first championship in school history... Named the state championship game MVP... Completed 138-of-181 passes for 2,060 yards and 24 touchdowns while rushing for 791 yards and 10 touchdowns on 102 carries.

Spent three seasons with the Pirates and recorded 121 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and 1,0 sacks while playing in 32 games... Also picked off three passes and forced one fumble for East Carolina... Also played for Fresno State from 2018-19 before transferring to Riverside City College where he helped the Tigers finish 13-0... Finished his lone season at Riverside with 42 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks, seven interceptions, five pass breakups and one forced fumble... Played at Citrus Hill in high school where he picked off 13 passes in 2017... Credited with 75 tackles in 12 games as a senior and 70 tackles in 11 games during junior year.

Played in 21 games during his three years with the Howard Bison, including 11 this past fall... Named 2022 All-MEAC Second Team by The Bluebloods... Was named a top performer in the MEAC during the week of Oct. 17 for his performance against Delaware State... Played for Falls Church High School in Virginia prior to attending Howard.

Previously announced in December... Recorded 17 tackles, including 8.0 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks, for the Bulldogs... Redshirted at Missouri during the 2021 season... Finished with 55 tackles, including 16.0 tackles for loss and 6.0 sacks during his junior season at McKinney High School in Texas... Earned All-State Honorable Mention as a junior... Listed on the ballot for the 2020 Whataburger Super Team.

Playing in 21 games over the past two seasons, starting 10 games in 2022 after serving as a reserve lineman and on special teams in 2021... Played at Pasadena High School and Pasadena City College prior to transferring to Northern Colorado.

Started four games as a true freshman for the Bears in 2021, playing in eight overall while primarily spending time at tackle... Played for Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs, earning a 4A Southern League First Team All-Conference First Team honors in 2019 and Second Team in 2018... Helped the Eagles win state titles in 2016 and 2019, as well as the Southern League title in all four years... Has three years of eligibility remaining as he joins his brother, Braden, on the Lumberjacks.

Completed 9-of-15 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns in three games for the Golden Bears this past fall... Also rushed for 13 yards on one carry in his first season on the field after redshirting in 2021... Finished his high school career at Higley in Gilbert, Ariz. with 4,564 passing yards and 46 touchdowns while completing 64.2 percent of his passes (359-of-559)... Rushed for 829 yards and 13 touchdowns on 178 carries... Named All-6A Premier Region First Team and All-6A Conference Second Team honors in 2020... Also earned All-5A San Ran Region First Team as a junior in 2019... Finished his career at Higley as a four-star recruit and among the Top 10 overall in the state of Arizona.

Played in 28 games over three seasons for the Tigers after transferring from Memphis... Rushed for 1,988 yards and seven touchdowns on 420 attempts during the three seasons while adding 56 receptions for 543 yards and one touchdown... Rushed for a season-high 207 yards and a score against Eastern Washington this past fall... Led the Tigers with 800 yards on the ground in the Fall 2021 season, adding 312 yards through the air... Named Second Team All-Ohio Valley Conference and to the Hero Sports FCS Sophomore All-American Team...
