FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 1, 2023) – NAU Men's Tennis will close out the 2023 fall slate on the road at the GCU Hidden Duals this weekend which will take place through Friday Nov. 3 to Sunday Nov. 5.
As the Lumberjacks travel down to the valley, they will be joined in the tournament by GCU, Nevada, and UC Davis. The tournament will mark the Jacks third and final of the fall schedule.
The Jacks are returning to the courts for the first time in competition since the ITA Mountain Regionals in Colorado Springs at the beginning of October.
Dani Torres picked up a quick victory to Air Force's Kyle Garner in three sets to advance to the round of 32. Torres earned another three-set tiebreak victory to Denver's Peter Sallay before earning a round of 16 victory to BYU opponent Wally Thayne.
Dominik Buzonics picked earned back-to-back straight-set wins against New Mexico State's Gustavo Campos and Montana State's Dario Ciobotaru. Both Torres and Buzonics dropped in the quarterfinals.

Maikel De Boes and
Jakub Prachar earned Big Sky opponent victories in singles play to Montana State's Jacob Huppin and Andra Necz, respectively.
Morgan Donovan won the Falcon Draw, going undefeated through the championships and earning a tiebreak victory against Utah's Gianluca Citadini.
On the doubles side of play, De Boes and Torres paired up, earning an 8-6 win to Boise State's duo of James Herzeele and Caden Moortgat.

Lance Urlaub earned a double victory against the four-seed Denver pairing of Marvin Schaber and Peter Sallay.
GCU last competed in the ITA Southwest Regionals, where a trio of Lopes picked up singles wins in the first round of play. Jonathan Da Silva and Gerhard Sullwald has straight-set wins over opponents from Hawaii while Paolo Posati had a 6-2, 6-3 victory over a San Diego State opponent. The three went on to fall in the second round to players from USC, Arizona, and Pepperdine, respectively. In doubles play, David Weseka and partner Williams Alsterback advanced to the round of 16 after a pair of wins over UC San Diego and Hawaii before falling to Arizona.
Nevada is returning to play after the ITA Northwest Regionals after Pedro Liborio and Gregoire Valente took on UC Davis, picking up an 8-4 victory. Loris Zisswiller and Remy Tregoures also knocked out a UC Davis pairing with an 8-4 win to begin the tournament. In singles play, Youssef Kadiri Hassani earned a straight-sets victory to a Saint Mary's opponent ahead of a comeback victory to UC Davis. Nevada;s duo of Justas Trainauskas and Peter Alam fell to Pacific in the quarterfinals.
The Uc Davis Aggies are coming off the most recent competition as the team played at USC's Intercollegiate Championships from Oct. 26 to Oct. 29 this past weekend. The Aggies picked up seven match wins total through the tournament. Antreas Djakouris and Constantinos Djakouris paired up to defeat Oklahoma State's duo before falling in the qualifying round. All Aggies won their first singles qualifying matches, with Antreas Djakouris being the lone UC Davis players to advance to the main bracket.
