AUSTIN, Texas (June 7, 2023) – The Northern Arizona University track & field team concluded their first day of competition at the NCAA Outdoor Track, with one athlete qualifying for finals.
David Dunlap competed in the 200-meter, running a personal best time of 20.24 to tie the school record and earn his spot in the finals on Friday. Last year, Dunlap placed 15
th in the event with a time of 20.51.
Dunlap will compete in the 200-meter final on Friday at 7:37 p.m. MST against Udodi Onwuzurike of Stanford (19.76), Courtney Lindsey of Texas Tech (19.88), Tarsis Orogot of Alabama (19.94), Robert Gregory of Florida (19.95), Javonte Harding of Tennessee (19.98), Shaun Maswanganyi of Houston (19.99), Terrence Jones of Texas Tech (20.03), and Cameron Miller of Louisville (20.17).
Colin Sahlman closed out an outstanding freshman season with an impressive performance in the semifinals of the 1,500-meter. Sahlman finished 17
th overall in the semifinals with a time of 3:42.02 to earn honorable mention All-American honors.
The Lumberjacks will resume competition at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships tomorrow as
Alyssa Colbert competes in the 100-meter at 4:46 p.m. MST. Live results for the meet can be found
