FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Nov. 18, 2024) – Head coach Brad Bedortha has announced the addition of a new Lumberjack for the 2025-26 season.
Glafira Pomazkova, a standout player from Moscow, Russia, will join the squad in the fall of 2025.
"I am very excited to welcome Glafira next fall," Bedortha said. "We've had a long tradition of great Russian players who are also great people, and Glafira fits exactly what we look for in a recruit. She will be a wonderful addition to our program, and I look forward to having her here next year."
Pomazkova brings an impressive résumé, having competed in major tournaments and earned several titles. She won the Junior Russian Championship this year and claimed victory in the Moscow Championship. Additionally, she placed fourth in the Ladies Russian Amateur Championship and finished as the runner-up in the Kazakhstan Cup this past August.
With no seniors currently on the roster, the team will grow to eight players next year.
The 2024-25 squad will return to action from Feb. 10-12 for the Mountain Classic Matchplay in Palm Springs, Calif.
