NAU Swimming and Diving Heads to NMSU for Tri-Meet

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Nov. 8, 2024) – The Northern Arizona women's swimming and diving team will hit the road this weekend for a tri-meet against two fellow WAC competitors. Hosted by New Mexico State, the meet will also feature the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV).

Saturday's meet, set to begin at 10:30 a.m. Mountain Standard time, will include 16 events, with two opportunities for divers to showcase their skills.


The Lumberjacks are coming off a strong win against Idaho last weekend, where they scored 167 points to the Vandals' 133.


Mackenna Stocker was named WAC Diver of the Week after claiming both the 1-meter (304.13) and 3-meter (323.70) titles. Six different Lumberjacks earned podium spots in the swimming events.


The last time the Lumberjacks faced the Aggies was in December 2023, with NAU securing a 186-144 victory. Northern Arizona currently holds a three-meet win streak over New Mexico State.


The event lineup includes: 200 medley relay, 1000 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 butterfly, 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, 500 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 400 individual medley, and 400 free relay.


The meet will not be streamed, but live results will be available on Swim Cloud.


Following this meet, the swimmers will compete in the Colorado Mesa Invitational from Nov. 20-23, while the divers will host the Lumberjack Diving Invite from Nov. 21-23.
