NAU Football’s James Foran Named FCS/At-Large Video Coordinator of the Year

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Feb. 13, 2024) – Northern Arizona University Director of Technology, James Foran, has been named the 2023-24 FCS/At-Large Video Coordinator of the Year as announced by the Collegiate Sports Video Association this afternoon.
 
Foran, who was selected by his FCS peers for the award, is a finalist for the Bob Matey National Video Coordinator award which will be announced on May 22, 2024, in Minneapolis, Minn.
 
This is the second FCS/At-Large Video Coordinator of the Year award for Foran who was also honored in 2014-15 along with being a finalist on several other occasions.
 
Foran is entering his 14th season leading the video efforts for Northern Arizona's football program. He and his staff are responsible for all technology needs, including film acquisition of practices, games and opponents, as well as managing the in-house Catapult Thunder and cloud-based Thundercloud video networks used by coaches and players to watch film and prepare for competition, as well as being responsible for all mobile devices used by the players and staff for watching film. 
 
Outside of the football program, Foran also trains and supervises a staff of students that shoot all football practices and games, men's and women's basketball home games, and home soccer matches.
 
Foran has been a member of CSVA since 2009 and has served as the FCS Representative since 2020.  He is also a member of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
