Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 24, 2024) – The Lumberjacks started the two-match weekend off in good standing with a 7-0 victory to the Abilene Christian Wildcats on Saturday afternoon.
The Jacks completed doubles play for the doubles point to start things off as
Maikel De Boes and
Semen Agynskyy paved their way to a quick 6-3 victory at the No. 3 slot.
Maciej Ziomber and
Dani Torres followed to secure the point with a 6-4 win at the No. 2.
Dominik Buzonics and
Jakub Prachar were up 6-5 at the No. 1 before the match went unfinished in order to get singles play started.
Torres stepped up to the No. 1 slot today, earning a 6-4, 7-5 victory. Buzonics won the first set of his match at the No. 2 in 6-1 fashion before the match was retired due to ACU injury, giving the Jacks a third point on the day.
De Boes grabbed back-to-back 6-3 sets to close out the match at the No. 3, followed by Agynskyy's own 6-3, 6-3 match at the No. 4. Ziomber earned a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 5 while Prachar tabbed a 6-4, 6-4 matchup at the No. 6 to secure the Jacks 7-0 Saturday sweep.
