Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 25, 2024) – NAU Men's Tennis closed out the weekend with the second-straight win following a 5-2 victory to the Air Force Academy.
The Lumberjacks bounced back after dropping the doubles point to the Falcons, while
Dominik Buzonics and
Jakub Prachar defeated Nick Vroman and Kyle Garner in a 6-3 match before NAU would fall at the No. 2 and No. 2 positions.
Maikel De Boes and
Semen Agynskyy dropped in a 6-4 match at the No. 3 to AF's Phillip Deaton and AJ Moore.
Dani Torres and
Maciej Ziomber would go the distance, before falling in a 7-6 (9-7) tiebreak. Heading into singles play, Agynskyy found the first point to even out the score with back-to-back 6-3 sets at the No. 4.
Torres, once again in the No. 1 slot, defeated in a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) for the 2-1 lead. De Boes grabbed a comeback 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory at the No. 3 slot, followed by Air Force's second point of the day as Buzonics fell at the No. 2, 1-6, 6-4, 2-6. Prachar finished the match out, securing the victory at the No. 5 with a 7-6 (7-3), 6-1 win, followed by the final point with
Lance Urlaub's 5-7, 6-5 (10-7) win at the No. 6.
