Round One Results
SEDONA, Ariz. (March 16, 2024) – The first day of the Red Rocks Invitational is in the books for the Northern Arizona University women's golf team. The Lumberjacks completed round one tied for seventh place after shooting a 295 (+7), but the field was unable to finish the second round due to darkness.
The remaining holes of the second round and the entirety of the third round will be completed tomorrow morning (March 17) at the Oak Creek Country Club in Sedona, Ariz. (par-72, 6,200 yards for rounds one and two, 6,065 yards for round three).
Lizzie Neale led the way with a 71 (-1) in round one with four birdies, turning in her 10
th round at or better this season and the 20
th of her career to end the round tied for third.
Ellena Slater shot a 72 (E) in round one for her ninth round at par or better this season with three birdies to tie for 11th.
Ekaterina Malakhova followed close behind with a 75 (+3) to tie for 43
rd.
A trio of Lumberjacks in
Amy Hodgkins,
Lorel Hayward, and
Nina Lukyanenko, all made it around the course in 77 (+5) strokes to tie for 60
th. Lukyanenko is competing as an individual along with
Frankie Dezis who finished round one tied for 89
th after shooting an 80 (+8).
