FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 27, 2024) – Following a home victory over the New Mexico Lobos, NAU Tennis (10-5) is set to host Dayton for a Thursday night match at 5 p.m. MST while then heading on the road for a Sunday morning match at Weber State, set to start at 10 a.m. MST.
Currently on a two-match win streak, NAU will look to extend it this week as the Dayton Flyers come to town with a 14-7 record as they look to bounce back from a 4-0 loss to GCU on Monday. Prior to Dayton's loss at Grand Canyon, the Flyers held a six-match win streak, taking down Tennessee State, Saint Francis, Thomas More, Lipscomb, Davidson, and Saint Louis.

Maikel De Boes led the way for NAU. De Boes brought in two victories for the Jacks against the New Mexico Lobos, maintaining NAU's perfect home streak without dropping a single point to an opponent in Flagstaff all season. De Boes clinched the doubles point for NAU with partner
Semen Agynskyy who secured a 6-4 win at the No. 3 slot.
De Boes went on to record NAU's second point of the match as well with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at the No. 3 slot. De Boes now holds an overall singles record of 8-5 as well as an 8-5 overall doubles record this season.
Following Thursday's home match, NAU will look to go 3-0 in Big Sky play with a Sunday morning match against Weber State in Ogden. The Wildcats are 5-10, 1-1 (Big Sky) to start the season, and are coming off a conference victory after handing Portland State a 5-2 loss.
The Wildcats are led by Jordan Coutinho who holds an 8-5 singles record while primarily playing at the No. 4, and one victory at the No. 3. Doubles duo Tuan Minh and Matteo Savio lead the team in doubles play with a 10-4 record as a pairing.
