FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (April 11, 2024) – The NAU track & field team saw a successful first day of competition at the Pacific Coast Invitational and the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Karrie Baloga competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase invitational at the Bryan Clay Invitational, running a time of 10:02.53 to finish 18
th. Her time puts her second on NAU's all-time performance list in the event.
Aaron Las Heras ran in the first heat of the men's invitational 10,000-meter, running a time of 28:19.43. His time puts him eighth on NAU's all-time performance list in the event.
Sariyah Horne-Kemp finished sixth in the hammer throw at the Pacific Invitational with a personal best mark of 59.92 meters. She also competed in the discus, finishing 17
th with a mark of 46.12 meters.
Alaina Diggs placed seventh in the shot put after throwing a season-best 15.17 meters.
Garret Bernt finished 23
rd in the discus with a mark of 52.56 meters.
Parker Bays placed seventh in the shot put with a mark of 17.57 meters, while
Jake Tucker finished 30
th with a mark of 15.71 meters.
Competition will continue tomorrow at the Beach Invitational and the Bryan Clay Invitational. Live results for the Beach Invitational can be found
