STANFORD, Calif. (April 26, 2024) – The NAU track & field team began their weekend of competition with distance athletes competing at the Payton Jordan Invitational.
Caleb Easton placed first in the second section of the 1,500-meter with a time of 3:45.35.
Karrie Baloga finished third in section two of the 3,000-meter steeplechase after running a time of 10:06.11.
The NAU women had three women finish in the top-12 of the second section of the 5,000-meter.
Keira Moore placed fifth with a time of 16:15.84, with
Ruby Smee finishing ninth with a time of 16:29.70.
Meagan Van Pelt placed 12
th after running a time of 16:34.89.
In the invitational section of the women's 5,000-meter,
Annika Reiss placed third with a time of 15:33.21.
Aliandrea Upshaw and
Bryn Morley placed 12
th and 13
th respectively, with times of 15:55.06 and 15:55.17.
Nikita Moore also competed, placing 16
th with a time of 15:57.97. Reiss' time is the second-fastest 5K time in NAU history.
