EUGENE, Ore. (June 28, 2024) – There's no stage like the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Team Trials to break your own school record, and
Maggi Congdon did just that on Friday night in Eugene, Ore. Congdon clocked a time of 4:02.79 in the semifinals of the 1,500-meters, finishing fourth in her heat to auto qualify and ninth overall.
The time breaks her own school record of 4:07.81 set at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships earlier this month on June 6 by five seconds, also at Hayward Field. The junior is the only collegian in the finals which is set for 5:09 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.

th overall in Thursday's first round with a time of 4:16.12.
Now an alum, 2022 NAU graduate Abdihamid Nur is also competing in a final on Sunday in the men's 5,000-meters. Nur clocked a time of 13:24.14 in the first round to finish second overall. He will toe the line at 4:30 p.m. on June 30.

Nico Young who qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics with a time of 27:52.40, finishing third. Young signed his first professional contract with adidas two days later and will compete in Paris on Aug. 2.
