PHOENIX, Ariz. (July 22, 2024) – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2024 Division-I All-Academic teams and Scholar-Athletes Monday morning, honoring NAU as a program and four individuals as well.
NAU's
Maciej Ziomber,
Maikel De Boes,
Piotr Galus, and
Semen Agynskyy all reigned in individual honors after holding a 3.5 GPA through the 2023-24 academic year. In total, 1,059 student-athletes were honored with 176 teams were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
Ziomber closes out his NAU career earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors four years in a row. De Boes earned the honors both seasons with the Lumberjacks, while Galus and Agynskyy are both first-time recipients.
For a team to be honored, the team must hold a 3.2 GPA with all varsity letter winners being factored into the GPA calculation. This year's award for NAU marks the fifth-consecutive season the Jacks have been a team recipient, and just the sixth time in program history NAU has earned the award. NAU finished the Spring semester with a team GPA of 3.39.
