FARMINGTON, Utah (September 24, 2024) – Following back-to-back shutout performances in goal, Trinity Corcoran has been named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday morning.
Corcoran's accolades mark the second overall for the Jacks this season and the first defensive honors, while tabbing her second career Big Sky weekly award. Corcoran grabbed back-to-back shutout performances over the New Mexico Lobos and the Southern Utah Thunderbirds, each match resulting in a 0-0 draw in Flagstaff this past week.
Corcoran recorded eight saves against the Lobos, adding four while facing the Thunderbirds. Corcoran ranks second in the Big Sky in save percentage, holding strong at .857 through seven matches played. Corcoran's back-to-back shutouts mark the first of the season for the Jacks, as she has recorded 48 stops total.
