FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Jan. 15, 2025) – The Northern Arizona women's basketball team is heading out on the road for more Big Sky Conference action.

The Lumberjacks are 12-5 on the year and 3-1 in the Big Sky standings, ranking second. They'll travel to Sacramento State on Thursday night (Jan. 16) for a 7:30 p.m. Mountain Standard time tip-off before taking on Portland State on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 3 p.m. MST.

Last weekend, NAU opened up the home portion of the conference slate at home. The Lumberjacks started the weekend with a 65-46 victory over Montana – the least amount of points allowed to an opponent this season. On Saturday, NAU lost to Montana State by a score of 87-81 – the most amount of points allowed this season. The Lumberjacks had an 11-point lead after the first quarter, but the Bobcats came out on a 12-0 run to take the lead in the second and never looked back. During the contest, Glancey cracked NAU's all-time scoring and career field goals made list, picking up her 10th double-double.

Glancey ranks sixth nationally with 10 double-doubles on the year, leading the league with 17.6 points per game. She is also 20th in the nation with 159 total rebounds, averaging 9.4 per game to rank second in the Big Sky. It doesn't stop there, as she is also the league leader in blocks per game with 1.6 and is second in field goal percentage, shooting at a 49.8 percent clip.

Taylor Feldman is right behind Glancey, averaging a career-high 16.6 points per game. She's scored in double figures in eight-straight games. During that stretch, the junior is averaging 19.8 points per game with four games over 20 points, shooting at a 46.5 percent clip.

Beattie is 20th in the nation in three-point percentage, leading the league with a 43.7 percent clip. She's made a three-pointer in 18-straight games dating back to last season, ranking 24th nationally with 45 on the year. Olivia Moran is hovering around the double figures mark with 9.4 points per game.

The Lumberjacks boast the 24th-highest scoring offense in the country at 80.5 points per game. Sacramento State has put together a 5-1 record at home at The Nest this season. They're coming off two consecutive conference losses at Eastern Washington and Idaho over the weekend, with the lone conference victory coming at Portland State.

As a team, the Hornets rank second in the league in field goal percentage, shooting at a 42.8 percent clip and holding opponents to 38.7 percent, which also ranks second in the conference. Northern Arizona leads the all-time series with the Hornets, 42-19. Last season, the two squads split the regular season meetings by each picking up a win on each other's home floors. NAU got its revenge in the Big Sky Quarterfinals, knocking the Hornets out of the championships after winning 81-63. In Sacramento, NAU is 19-10 overall and have won four-straight dating back to 2019-20. Last year at The Nest, the Lumberjacks won 83-66 after scoring 37 points in the first quarter. Sophie Glancey turned in a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds, while Nyah Moran and Olivia Moran also scored in double digits.
