FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (January 24, 2025) – The NAU Men's Tennis team kicks off their season at home with two matches this weekend. They will take on the Air Force Falcons on Saturday and follow up against the UC Riverside Highlanders the following day.
NAU is starting their season at home this season for the first time since the 2022 season, where they finished on top of the Arizona Christian Firestorm 7-0. The Lumberjacks will kick off this season's campaign seeking to go one step further than last year when they were one win short of reaching the NCAA Tournament.
NAU played the Falcons during the 2024 season where they came away with a 5-2 victory in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Returning players
Semen Agynskyy,
Jakub Prachar, and
Dani Torres all picked up singles wins against Air Force.
The Lumberjack's second match is against UC Riverside. This will be the first time since 2020 that these two teams meet. In 2020 NAU beat the Highlanders by pulling off a 5-2 win. The matches against Air Force will be the first experience of team matches for Lumberjack freshman players,
