Lumberjacks Set for All-Arizona Quad Meet in Tucson Against Arizona, ASU, and GCU

FLAGSTAFF, Arizona (October 10, 2025) – The Northern Arizona women's swimming and diving team returns to the pool this Friday for a competitive quad meet against Arizona, Arizona State, and Grand Canyon at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center in Tucson. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. MST, with swimming and diving events running concurrently throughout the afternoon.

The meet will follow a quad-dual format, with each team competing head-to-head using traditional dual meet scoring. Each team is allowed four official scoring entrants per event, and each swimmer may compete in up to three individual events. NAU will occupy lanes 3 and 7 during scoring heats, with all heats run slow-to-fast.

Friday's schedule opens with the 200 medley relay, followed by the 1000-yard freestyle, 200 freestyle, 50 freestyle, and 200 IM. The first diving break begins at 1:15 p.m., featuring the women's 3-meter competition alongside continued swim heats. After the break, events resume with the 100 butterfly, 100 freestyle, 100 backstroke, and 500 freestyle, before the second diving session. The meet concludes with the 100 breaststroke and a fast-paced 4x25 freestyle relay.

This year's match-up marks a return to the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center after a strong showing in 2024, where the Lumberjacks posted a team victory over GCU (144–137) and gained valuable experience against two Pac-12 opponents.

Last fall's meet saw standout performances across multiple lanes and boards. In the diving events, the Lumberjacks swept spots 2 through 6 and ninth in the 1-meter competition. Victoria Knapp (2nd, 291.30), Grace Wesche (3rd, 261.75), and Catalina Devia (4th, 258.95) led the charge as NAU clinched the overall diving team victory.

In the middle-distance races, Casey Craffey placed fourth in the 600-yard freestyle (5:56.74), while Bena Koehn turned in top-10 finishes in both the 150 and 300 freestyle. In the backstroke and butterfly events, Gracie Munk placed fourth in the 150-yard back (1:28.13), while Elsa Musselman took second in the 150 fly (1:26.48) and led the team in the 100 IM.

Up Next: 'Jacks return home for their next competition, hosting Idaho at the Wall Aquatic Center on Saturday, Nov. 2, with events beginning at 10:30 a.m. MST.
