GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. / FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 22, 2025)Â -Â The Northern Arizona women's swimming and diving teams completed the final day of their midseason meets on Saturday afternoon.
The swimmers wrapped up day four at the CMU Invite, competing in the 1650-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard butterfly, and 400-yard freestyle relay events.
Teddy Sabev placed fifth in the 1650-yard freestyle, clocking in at 17:41.34, while Keegan Knott rounded out the final in 19:28.15.
Gracie Munk had another strong day in the pool, finishing first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:00.96, almost three seconds faster than her prelim time.
Allie Hayes finished third with a time of 2:02.65, while Kat Richter took fifth with 2:03.00, with all three 'Jacks well within the NCAA B Cut time. Summer Ferguson rounded out the A final for NAU, placing sixth at 2:04.93.
In the B final, Meropi Eggink placed second with a time of 2:08.49, while freshman Mary Villeda recorded 2:12.99.
Northern Arizona earned another gold medal in the 100-yard freestyle, where Kokona Watanabe claimed the top spot with a time of 51.19. Evalotta Aabrams was right behind her, recording an NCAA B Cut time of 51.95 for fifth place.
Camryn Brown (52.33) and Lily Powell (52.79) finished the A final in sixth and eighth, respectively.
Cydnie Perkins delivered a record-breaking performance in the 200-yard breaststroke, clocking in at 2:14.07 to move into the fourth-fastest all-time performance for a Lumberjack and take first place in the final. The time also qualified for an NCAA A Cut.
Trelise Dance recorded 2:17.19 for second place and a B Cut time, along with Mariana Diaz-Ponce, who finished fifth with a time of 2:19.50, also earning an NCAA B Cut.
Elsa Musselman and Isahbel Krasht placed second and third in the 200-yard butterfly, recording times of 2:02.62 and 2:03.22, respectively, to each earn an NCAA B Cut. Abbie Miller was in sixth with a time of 2:05.76, also earning a B Cut.
The final event for NAU was the 400-yard freestyle relay, where the 'Jacks placed second and third.
The Lumberjack B team of Musselman, Perkins, Kaci Kelaher, and Krasht recorded a time of 3:25.73 for the silver finish. The A team of Watanabe, Aabrams, Brown, and Munk finished with a time of 3:26.20 to take third.
NAU finished with a total of 1,039 points for second place. Colorado Mesa totaled 1,207, while Colorado School of Mines scored 780.
"Great finish to the meet tonight. Lots of season-best times and a number of lifetime bests over the course of the four days. I think we learned a lot about our team, and we're very proud of their efforts and results. Looking forward to Thanksgiving and then the next phase of our season," head swimming coach Andy Johns said.
At home in Flagstaff, the divers competed on the platform (10-meter). Grace Wesche was the highest-finishing Lumberjack, taking third place with a total score of 262.95. The senior had a successful week of diving, taking first place in the 1-meter and second in the 3-meter, to go with her third-place finish today.
Right behind her in fourth was Mackenna Stocker, who scored 248.40, followed by Margaret Wesche in fifth with 243.45.
Alina Skrocki of SDSU took the top spot, scoring 279.15.
The Lumberjacks now look ahead to the second week of December when they will hit the road to face Utah Tech from Dec. 12-13.
