FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 8, 2025) – The NAU Men's Tennis team is getting set to take on the Idaho State Bengals on Sunday. The Lumberjacks are coming off of a 4-0 loss to the Arizona Wildcats that they are surely looking to bounce back from.
The Lumberjacks enter this matchup with the Bengals with a 6-6 record, however NAU is 1-0 in Big Sky play with the win coming against the Portland State Vikings.
The Last time NAU took on the Bengals was in the 2024 season which saw NAU take the match in an exciting 5-2 win.
Jakub Prachar and
Dani Torres are two players from this year's team that got singles wins against the bengals in that last matchup.
Prachar got his win in straight sets 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 6 positions. Torres' singles match against Idaho State last season was a battle that saw him win in three sets, with the first set going into a tiebreaker, 6(4)-7, 6-2, 6-4.
The Lumberjacks have the advantage in this matchup when it comes to the all time record at 14-3. NAU also has a winning streak against the Bengals with 12 wins in a row, hoping to make it 13 on Saturday.
