Lumberjacks Climb to Third After Big Sky Conference Tournament Round Two

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (April 15, 2025) — The Northern Arizona women's golf team improved by 12 strokes from its previous round, shooting a 285 (+1). Their 36-hole total now stands at 582 (+14), placing them third - just five strokes behind Montana State. The 'Jacks matched Sacramento State for the team low round of the day.

The Hornets continue to lead the tournament after the second round with a cumulative score of +1. Caitlin Maurice of Sac State leads the individual standings by one stroke after shooting three-under-par today.

Nina Lukyanenko led the 'Jacks with a stellar round of 68 (-3). She tallied five birdies and jumped 13 spots to tie for seventh place with a total score of +1. It would be her new career low and first tournament round played in the 60s.

Amy Hodgkins also finished under par, posting a 70 (-1) with five birdies on the day. Her 36-hole score stands at even par, moving her up five places into a tie for fifth individually.

Frankie Dezis carded a 73 (+2), highlighted by two birdies on the back nine. She is now tied for 16th with a total of +6.

Lizzie Neale followed closely, shooting a 74 (+3) to bring her total to +7, good for a tie for 18th. She recorded three birdies in the round.

Ava Bates was subbed in and carded an 83 (+12), placing her 54th.

Northern Arizona will play alongside Montana State and Sacramento State in the final round tomorrow. The first tee time is scheduled for 8:40 a.m. Mountain Standard time. Live scoring will be available via Scoreboard Clippd.
